Derived from various provisions laid down in National Development Plan 2007-2012, the Law on the Use of Renewable Energy and Energy Transition Funding, Regulations and the Special Climate Change Program 2008-2012; you can install in your home or business your own source of renewable energy or cogeneration system in small or medium scale and make an interconnection contract with CFE.
By doing so, save on your expenditure on account of energy consumption, will contribute in the use of clean technologies for power generation in the use of renewable sources of energy and thus on environmental conservation.
The requirements for an interconnection contract with CFE on a small scale, is that you have a normal supply contract at low voltage, that the facilities comply with Mexican Official Standards and specifications CFE, and the power of your source no greater than 10 kW if installed in your home or 30 kW if installed on your business.
To make an interconnection agreement in medium scale, the requirements are that you have a normal supply contract in medium voltage, that the facilities comply with the Official Mexican Standards and specifications CFE, and the power of your source is not greater than 500 kW.
The contract is indefinite and may be terminated when you want to give 30 days earlier.
