"Hitchhiking? 2009

It's time to count the last trip, and revive this blag step, which is absent according GReader:-D By the passage of time, and because I'm tired of having so often the same, I will omit some details. Warning

Fate I owe to two people. The first to think Uruguay was Calu, who proposed to travel to Montevideo the day was between Christmas and New Year. The journey in those days was ruled out because I had to work until 30 December. The final destination was referred to me, precisely on December 30, Santiago. "To you who you like camping, you'll like Fortaleza. It is three miles Punta del Diablo and you can go walk on the beach. Look ...". And I was in GMaps and the Wikipedia site in question.
that afternoon and had a quorum. Manuela and Calu already agreed. And Marcelo had already clarified that there was little problem by fate so I also joined.
As in almost all trips, prepare everything we needed and leave the military backpacks was something that procrastinate until the last day. Although it anyway, thanks to increasingly perfect checklists bearing Calu ( and my perfect or nearly so), this was not a difficult task.

Cdelu - Montevideo
The trip started early, and how not to be start a trip to toe. Collectively.

cole Columbus We took around 7 am. The idea was to arrive early near the border and save time we could lose in the RN 14. Once in Columbus, we walked a few blocks to the international bridge, and not even make signs, the driver of a van offered us closer to Gendarmerie checkpoint Argentina. After that, a few meters from where we got off, a taxi driver stopped Uruguay (and subject to clarification that we were travelers to toe and not passengers willing to pay the ticket), we came to the office.
As usual we are doing at customs for leave the country, we did completely disarm the backpacks, and losing the cab. We walked up the path, then to the intersection of two roads, then to a bridge, then beyond, and a little further. Have been about 10 miles. And to do finger ...

chose a place outside a service station where we hoped to get lucky with those who went. But to put it briefly, in two days no one raised us. Yeap. Nobody. As the first day, and as we had just put the batteries, have fun: barbecue, camping under the trees, Uruguayan yerba mate and other ...
But the second day started talking about taking a bus to the next town, to see if changing the type of traffic and improve our lot. That's how we got on a bus with the idea of \u200b\u200bgoing to Young or Trinidad. By whispering about and hurt others, get to Montevideo to take us to the four for little more the cost of a full fare. It was business. But we were traveling by bus. So far, no sumabamos or 10 km. travel authentically finger.

Once in Montevideo, walked a bit around the city. Calu what they have done and I have to tell Marcelo Calu. Manu and I on our part, we wanted to go to the beach (sea or river, or what is). So we went to the boardwalk and in a place where you could go down to the beach, we go down, let rest backpack and watching the sun go down, apparently, on the sea. Then try to contact people from Couchsurfing to see if we could host for the night, but as we had no luck, after walking a while, we took another bus to Atlantis, where we arrived at night and camped illegally on a plantation eucalyptus.
